Fatalis Venatus: A Final Fantasy RPG set in the world of FFVIII

Fatalis Venatus

As the Second Sorceress War slipped from all-consuming present into the recent past, the world is primarily in a state of balance and peace. However, the upheaval that the war caused is not gone from the minds of those that lived through it, and for most, 'normalcy' is about the most abnormal thing that they can fathom, causing each day to seem somewhat surreal. The governments of Galbadia and Esthar are in the process of beginning to try war criminals, some with names as infamous as Edea Kramer and Seifer Almasy, and Balamb is flourishing under its new Commander, war hero, Squall Leonhart.

Though things are indeed calm in comparison to the War, things are perhaps not as at ease as they seem on the surface. In Galbadia, rebels and protesters, dissatisfied with the ways of the government and with the policies enforced post-war, are rising up in acts of isolated terrorism. There is an air of civil unrest amongst the citizens in many of the bigger cities, and small crime and vandalism are on the rise. Esthar, having finally done away with its seclusion, has opened itself not only to the world, but to the worry that it will not be able to defend itself from outside forces, should trouble once again arise. In an effort to remedy this fear, The Estharian Government, lead primarily by President Laguna Loire, is entering negotiations with Balamb Garden to build, train, and equip a Garden of their own.

Fatalis Venatus is a role-play set in the post-game world of Final Fantasy VIII that focuses on the world and the characters as they recover and rebuild their lives in the wake of chaos. How easy is it to be complacent once your world has been turned upside down and righted again?

Come join Fatalis Venatus, a canon based Final Fantasy VIII roleplay looking for both canon (all games!) and original players!

Game officially opened 4/18. Apply now!

Hey, wake up. Stop wasting time.

Photobucket

You open your eyes to shades of green and gray and the taste of cinnamon in your mouth. You know you weren't eating hard candy when you fell asleep, but that's the least of the things that don't make sense. Something's scratching at the door. There's a large roll of red tape at the foot of your bed... but it isn't your bed. This isn't your home. In fact, you can't imagine anyone who'd live in here willingly. But not everything in this apartment is living. They can't leave.

And now, neither can you.

You're Jigoku Apartment's newest tenant.

Jigoku Apts. is a multifandom game inspired by J-Horror (those scary Japanese movies) and survival horror. Welcome to a real "ghost town". And nowhere is more haunted than the only place you have to live. There's a piece of candy in your mouth when you wake up and that's supposed to make up for any pain and fear that's inflicted on you. More importantly, you're left a roll of red tape. When used to tape up the doors and windows, it keeps the ghosts on the other side of the door on the other side.

But sooner or later you're gonna have to open the door.

Mod: FFXIII Cast

braidedmods

Braided Fate

Just wanna say - BEST COMM IDEA EVER. Seriously. Epic rabu! ♥ NOW, ON TO THE IMPORTANT PART OF MY TIME HERE. The world is your oyster/etc.

THE ACTUAL ADVERTISEMENT IS UNDER A CUT BECAUSE IT GETS STAGE FRIGHT OKAY? Plus it has no lovely graphics so it's basically like being naked on exam day.Collapse )

And in case that's a little tl;dr for you, in my own words: We're a laid back bunch of ninja hippies hanging out and having a good time playing in our imaginary sandboxes. We are totally newbie friendly, especially if you're willing to learn!

AND DUDE if you wanted to come give me a XII cast to hang out with I WOULD PROBABLY LOVE YOU FOREVER/GIVE YOU INTERNET COOKIES/WHEREVER ELSE YOUR PREFERENCES LIE (Because I play Balthier and what is a leading man without the rest of his cast? YEA VERILY, I ASK OF YOU). But we're also looking for a XIII cast, to add to our tiny (aka consisting of: THE HERO!1!!, some crystallized chick a badass barmaid, some pretty General guy and the cowboy with a Southern Accent) crew. And we have a very lonely Reno, who isn't so much lonely as bitchy about having to pay his own bar tab for once.

Apps are currently open, and we'd love to see you there to join in the fray!
